Contemporary Mid-Century Design

Re-imagining the architectural stylings of the mid-century, the Newtown Courtyard House brings timeless elegance and low-maintenance living to one of Geelong’s premier suburbs.

Designed by passionate Architect and Design firm, Tecture, and realised by the skilled tradespeople at Built By Wilson, the house, referencing visionary urban architect,  Robin Boyd, introduced a central internal garden courtyard that seamlessly linked indoor/outdoor zones and extended the living and entertainment space.

An emphasis on unique finishes and natural materials saw extensive use of bespoke timber joinery,  timber floorboards,  white Carrera marble counters and stone tiling throughout, while Hycraft 100% wool carpets were installed in each bedroom and master suite walk-in robe.

Petra in colour Fortress, a low-level loop pile, added an earthy, textural element, its varying mid -greys off-setting the clean white décor. Along with being naturally insulating and stain resistant, the dense construction of Petra is rated Residential Extra Heavy Duty, which, along with not revealing any annoying track marks, ensures a durable and attractive flooring choice for years to come.
