Melbourne-based interior decoration studio Lauren Egan has built a reputation for creating homes that balance sophistication, warmth, and thoughtful curation. Established in 2018, her studio focuses on the careful selection of furniture, art, soft furnishings, window treatments, and objects to complete each home with personality and cohesion.
Autumnal House exemplifies Lauren’s signature approach, embracing the tones of autumn to create a seamless connection between interior and exterior spaces. Cosy Australian timbers, earthy materials, and organic textures are layered to craft a home that feels welcoming, grounded, and inherently calm.
For the bedrooms and living areas, Lauren selected Feltex Spinifex wool carpet in 13 Earth. This level loop pile carpet features a soft, warm beige base accented with subtle flecks of earthy browns, delivering both texture and understated warmth underfoot. Its natural tonality complements the home’s palette of timber, brick, and layered fabrics, enhancing the sense of continuity and comfort throughout the space.
Every detail in Autumnal House reflects a careful consideration of materiality, colour, and interior decoration, curated by Lauren Egan, while the interior and exterior architecture was led by Project 12 Architecture and built by Y Projects.
