The home is now complete and the formal living room revealed. The Team have created a beautiful, modern and open-plan Australian home. It has a cool and calm colour scheme and spacious zones to gather inside and out.
This house packs quite a punch on this quiet Melbourne street. The motorised front gate, the large concrete pavers and the stone porch leading to the huge timber front door create an impact.
Eco+ carpet in Dream View (colour Dark Shadow) in the formal lounge creates the perfect neutral base for the blue/green tranquil palette. The softnes of eco+ carpet underfoot is ideal for a tech-free relaxation retreat.
The mantle is the same colour as the walls to make the stonework and fireplace the focal point of the room. Either side of the fire place, French doors bring the light and garden into the space.
In the Garden
The garden is the artwork in the stunning backyard created by Anthony. A few pops of colour in the alfresco area and by the pool was all it needed. The pool, laser cut screens and plants provide a lavish backdrop.
The moon gate and stones stepping to the circular fire pit make clever use of a tricky shaped block.
Tips from Week 10
- Treat your windows like a frame, there is no better artwork than a great view.
- When choosing furniture for a room, keep the colour palette simple. In the lounge room the carpet colour can influence the choice of colour for the couch.
- Dark carpet brings warmth and character with a luxurious feel underfoot. Perfect for a space designed for relaxation.
- Grey carpet is a versatile carpet colour. It's a strong neutral base, to add colour to with artwork, plants and furniture.
That's another home completed by The Home Team. We have loved seeing the creative ways that Godfrey Hirst products were featured.
