Lauren Curtis’ Light-Filled WA Home

YouTuber and founder of Loungeface, Lauren Curtis, together with her partner Reece, have recently finished building a gorgeous home surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of Western Australia. Documenting the journey on Instagram account @lozcurtishome, we have loved watching their incredible home come to life.

For the kitchen the living spaces, Lauren and Reece wanted to create a cosy and elegant atmosphere with dark flooring. Being a flooring installer himself, Reece has always loved the natural beauty and stability of engineered timber, so they decided on Chateau Oak in the colour 790 Espresso. The dark stain allowed the beautiful pattern and texture of the timber to remain visible in certain lights, while also maintaining a consistent colour throughout the home's flooring.

From the moment Lauren saw the wool carpet, Chatsworth in the colour 710 Sir William, she knew it was the one for the bedrooms. With the insulative and temperature-controlling properties of premium wool carpet, and being Australian Made, Lauren was drawn to the symmetrical loop pile texture of Chatsworth.

Reece installed Chateau Oak engineered timber in the living areas, dining room, kitchen, and hallways while using Chatsworth wool carpet in the bedrooms. These flooring materials pay homage to the surrounding natural bushland that envelops the home and provides stunning 360° views.
