From 14–28 February, the country’s largest fashion event returns for a milestone edition as the festival celebrates its 30th anniversary. For three decades, the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival has shaped a world-class platform for Australians to experience and champion the unique spirit of our local fashion community, proving why Melbourne is the fashion capital.
The festival’s vision remains clear and ambitious: to joyously deliver an unrivalled, globally recognised event that elevates every facet of fashion and creative expression. This leadership comes to life through the iconic Premium Runways, where Australia’s most renowned designers take centre stage alongside exciting emerging talent, all embracing the dynamic ‘see now, buy now’ model.
Set against the magnificent backdrop of the Melbourne Royal Exhibition Building and its surrounding precinct, the 2026 festival promises an inspiring blend of heritage, innovation, and artistic energy – presenting Fashion as a Spectator SPORT, and we’re thrilled to be part of it once again.
This year, the Premium Runway will feature Godfrey Hirst Triexta carpet Soft Sunrise in 815 Cameo as a stunning centrepiece, setting the stage for Australia’s most celebrated fashion moments. Crafted with partially plant-based triexta fibre, Soft Sunrise delivers exceptional softness underfoot with a natural spring-like resilience designed to retain its luxurious appearance over time. With permanently built-in stain resistance and enduring colour clarity, it offers the perfect balance of beauty and performance. The elegant Cameo colour complements the vibrancy of the runway while effortlessly translating into sophisticated residential interiors. This carpet will also feature throughout the exclusive VIP Box and at the Festival media wall, creating a cohesive and elevated experience for designers, talent and guests alike. Its refined, on-trend colour palette demonstrates how premium flooring can move seamlessly from high-fashion environments into the home — delivering style, comfort and durability without compromise.
We are especially proud to collaborate with the Festival, Mob in Fashion and Dreamtime Flooring to create a truly one-of-a-kind Designer Jet® carpet for the Beyond Blak Runway. This powerful showcase is a bold and dynamic celebration of fashion, culture and storytelling, presenting full collections and standout works from an inspiring cohort of First Nations designers and artisans. We are excited to unveil the custom design by Naarm/Melbourne artist Josh Deane at the Beyond Blak Runway on Wednesday 25 February. This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting meaningful partnerships that celebrate creativity, community and Australian design excellence.
